At DroneYards, we stand behind the quality of our products. This warranty policy outlines the terms and conditions of our warranty coverage for FPV drones, drone parts, and RC hobby products. Please read this policy carefully to understand your rights and responsibilities.
1. Warranty Coverage
FPVYARDS provides warranty coverage for manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship under normal use conditions. This warranty is valid only for products purchased directly from www.fpvyards.in or authorized dealers.
Our warranty ensures that you receive products that meet our quality standards and function as intended when used according to manufacturer specifications.
2. Warranty Period
The warranty period varies depending on the product category and manufacturer:
- FPV Drones & Frames: 30 days from purchase date
- Motors & ESCs: 30 days from purchase date
- Flight Controllers: 30 days from purchase date
- Batteries (LiPo/Li-ion): 15 days from purchase date
- Video Transmitters & Receivers: 30 days from purchase date
- Cameras & Accessories: 30 days from purchase date
- Other RC Components: 15-30 days (varies by manufacturer)
The warranty period begins from the date of purchase as indicated on your invoice or order confirmation.
3. Products Covered Under Warranty
The following defects are covered under our warranty:
- Manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship
- Component failure under normal operating conditions
- Defective soldering or assembly from the manufacturer
- Electronic component failure not caused by user error
- Structural defects in frames and hardware
- Dead on Arrival (DOA) products within the specified DOA period
4. Products NOT Covered Under Warranty
- Crash Damage: Any damage resulting from crashes, impacts, or collisions during flight
- Water Damage: Damage caused by water, moisture, humidity, or liquid exposure
- Misuse or Abuse: Damage from improper use, negligence, or operation beyond specifications
- Incorrect Installation: Damage caused by improper installation, wiring, or configuration
- Reverse Polarity: Damage from incorrect battery connection or reversed polarity
- Physical Damage: Scratches, dents, cracks, or cosmetic damage
- Modifications: Products that have been modified, altered, or repaired by unauthorized parties
- Normal Wear and Tear: Degradation from regular use including propeller wear, bearing wear, etc.
- Overcharging/Over-discharging: Battery damage from improper charging or storage
- Electrical Surges: Damage from power surges, incorrect voltage, or electrical spikes
- Unauthorized Repairs: Products opened or repaired without prior authorization
- Missing or Damaged Labels: Products with removed or tampered serial numbers or warranty stickers
- Consumable Items: Propellers, screws, cables, and other consumable parts
5. Dead on Arrival (DOA) Policy
If you receive a product that is defective or non-functional upon arrival, we offer a DOA replacement policy:
- DOA Period: 7 days from the date of delivery
- Condition: Product must be unused, uninstalled, and in original packaging
- Testing Required: You must test the product BEFORE installation
- Reporting: Contact us immediately with order details and proof of defect
- Resolution: We will provide a replacement or full refund for confirmed DOA items
6. Manufacturing Defects
Manufacturing defects are covered under warranty and include:
- Defective components that fail under normal operating conditions
- Poor soldering or assembly from the factory
- Faulty electronic circuits or components
- Structural defects in frames, arms, or mounting hardware
- Defective motors with bearing or winding issues (not from crashes)
To qualify as a manufacturing defect, the product must show clear evidence of factory-level issues and not user-induced damage.
7. Conditions That Void Warranty
The warranty will be void under the following circumstances:
- Product has been opened, modified, or repaired by unauthorized personnel
- Serial numbers, warranty stickers, or labels have been removed or tampered with
- Product shows signs of physical damage, water damage, or crash damage
- Product was used beyond its rated specifications (voltage, current, temperature)
- Damage caused by improper storage or environmental conditions
- Product was purchased from unauthorized sellers or third parties
- Warranty period has expired
8. Customer Responsibilities
To maintain warranty coverage, customers must:
- Test Before Installation: Always test electronic components before soldering or installing
- Follow Instructions: Use products according to manufacturer specifications and guidelines
- Proper Storage: Store batteries and electronics in appropriate conditions
- Keep Documentation: Retain your invoice, order confirmation, and product packaging
- Report Issues Promptly: Contact us immediately if you discover a defect
- Provide Evidence: Submit clear photos or videos demonstrating the defect
- Safe Handling: Handle LiPo batteries with care and follow safety guidelines
9. Warranty Claim Process
To file a warranty claim, please follow these steps:

- Provide Information: Include your order number, product name, purchase date, and detailed description of the issue
- Submit Evidence: Send clear photos or videos showing the defect and any relevant details
- Await Inspection: Our team will review your claim and may request additional information
- Receive Authorization: If approved, you will receive a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number
- Ship Product: Return the defective product with the RMA number clearly marked on the package
- Resolution: Once received and inspected, we will repair, replace, or refund as appropriate
Processing Time: Warranty claims are typically processed within 7-14 business days of receiving the returned product.
10. Shipping Charges for Warranty Claims
Shipping charges for warranty claims are handled as follows:
- DOA Products: FPVYARDS covers both forward and return shipping costs
- Warranty Claims (Within India): Customer pays return shipping; we cover replacement shipping
- Rejected Claims: Customer is responsible for return shipping if the claim is not approved
- International Orders: Shipping costs are evaluated on a case-by-case basis
We recommend using trackable shipping methods and retaining proof of shipment for all warranty returns.
11. Repair or Replacement Policy
FPVYARDS reserves the right to determine the appropriate resolution for warranty claims:
- Repair: We may repair the defective product if feasible
- Replacement: We may replace the product with an identical or equivalent item
- Refund: If repair or replacement is not possible, we may issue a refund
- Store Credit: In some cases, we may offer store credit for future purchases
The decision to repair, replace, or refund is at the sole discretion of FPVYARDS based on product availability, defect severity, and other factors.
12. Limitation of Liability
FPVYARDS warranty is limited to the repair, replacement, or refund of the defective product. We are not liable for:
- Consequential or incidental damages resulting from product defects
- Loss of use, loss of time, or inconvenience
- Damage to other equipment or property
- Personal injury or property damage caused by product use
- Data loss or corruption
- Commercial losses or lost profits
This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other rights that vary by jurisdiction. Some regions do not allow limitations on implied warranties or exclusion of incidental damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you.
